Disneyland has announced the future opening of Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby — a ‘60s-themed gastropub — in the Downtown Disney District in Anaheim, Calif. This will be the celebrity chef’s first-ever restaurant at a Disney Parks property, though an opening date has not yet been set.

The announcement promises guests will experience, “the Brit pop energy of swinging ‘60s London” amid a culinary backdrop of “Gordon Ramsay’s iconic and delicious British classic dishes,” like his signature Beef Wellington, fish and chips, and sticky toffee pudding. The menu will also feature an eclectic beer, wine, and signature cocktail list.

“All eyes were on London in the 1960s, a full-on fantastic technicolor scene of people going out and having fun,” Ramsay said in a statement. “We are bringing those cool vibes to Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby — stunning interiors, incredible food and great music. Whether it’s date night or dinner with friends or family, The Carnaby is going to bring the very best of cool Britannia to Downtown Disney District.”

The restaurant is named after Carnaby Street in London, which became known as a fashion district for mod and hippie styles of the era, and was also a magnet for musical stars who performed in the area in the ‘60s, like The Who and The Rolling Stones.

With this history in mind, the restaurant’s design will take cues from the era, with plush interiors, ‘60s-style seating for 175 guests, and pop art on the walls. The Carnaby will boast two outdoor terraces, a bar area, and several booths dotted around, all set to a soundtrack of notable British musical stars of the time like The Beatles.

After dark, Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby will feature a late-night program geared toward adults with an evening program of live music and themed performances.

The restaurant will be located on top of the Earl of Sandwich when it opens, joining other restaurants in Downtown Disney, including Din Tai Fung and Centrico.
