
Aksaya Estates Limited has signed an agreement with Marriott International to open a Courtyard by Marriott hotel at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.
Construction of the Courtyard by Marriott Nairobi Airport has begun, with completion targeted for 2027. The development will add about 180 rooms and suites, as well as two restaurants and bars, a rooftop fitness centre and swimming pool, and flexible indoor and outdoor event space.
The property has received preliminary EDGE Advanced Certification, a sustainability standard awarded by the International Finance Corporation.
It will be the second Marriott-branded hotel owned and operated by Aksaya Estates in Kenya, following the Sankara Nairobi, Autograph Collection in Westlands.
Marriott International, which operates more than 9,600 properties under 30 brands in 143 countries and territories, manages the Courtyard by Marriott brand as part of its global Marriott Bonvoy travel programme.
