Limelight Mammoth, the newest property from Aspen One and Limelight Hotels’ first California location, is now open. The hotel is located steps from The Village and the Village Gondola, offering views of the Sherwin mountain range. The property includes 149 guestrooms, 25 suites and 15 private residences, providing lodging for visitors to Mammoth Lakes.

The Limelight Residences Mammoth offer two- to five-bedroom layouts with modern mountain architecture, furnished interiors, open living areas, kitchens, laundry rooms, storage and private elevators. The resort also features the Mammoth Lakes Mountain Club, a members-only ski and social club modeled after Aspen Mountain Club and Snowmass Mountain Club. The club provides a private lounge, outdoor terrace with firepits, an all-day bar, semi-private workspaces, ski valet, personal lockers, gondola access, fitness center and pool privileges, dedicated parking and a calendar of year-round events.

“This opening marks an exciting milestone for the Limelight brand as we continue to expand into the best locations within special destinations, bringing our signature warmth, sophistication, and community-driven spirit to the Sierra Nevada,” said Evan Thomas, general manager of Limelight Mammoth. “This incredible property is designed for travelers who seek adventure and meaningful connection. We’re excited to welcome guests, members and locals to a space where inspired design, sustainability, and the natural beauty of Mammoth Lakes come together effortlessly.”

Limelight Mammoth is an all-electric property. It uses efficient heat pumps and reclaimed materials and includes native landscaping and large windows. Electric vehicle charging stations, an all-electric Audi fleet for guest use and an efficient operations program are also part of the property’s sustainability features.

Guests have access to the 2025-26 ski and snowboard season at Mammoth Mountain and nearby outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking and gondola rides. The Village at Mammoth is within walking distance and offers shops, dining and cultural experiences.

The Limelight Lounge serves as a gathering space with daily breakfast, après and dinner. The menu includes shareable plates, hand-stretched pizzas and alpine-inspired cocktails. Limelight Live music performances are scheduled throughout the year. The grand opening celebration on December 12 includes performances by Fitz and The Tantrums, Two Feet and other guests.

The hotel offers over 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. Facilities include boardrooms, breakout rooms, the Ridgeline Ballroom for up to 300 guests and the panoramic Viewline Plaza. The spaces are available for corporate events, social gatherings and milestone celebrations.

Limelight Mammoth joins Limelight Hotels’ existing portfolio, which includes properties in Aspen, Snowmass, Ketchum, Denver and Boulder, with Charleston scheduled to open in 2028. The property extends the brand’s presence to California and provides accommodations, event spaces and recreational opportunities in the Eastern Sierra.
