Four Seasons has been appointed to manage the Park Gstaad Hotel in Switzerland, a prominent property in one of Europe’s top mountain destinations. The hotel is set to reopen after a complete renovation, marking an important addition to Four Seasons’ portfolio in the alpine resort region.

Renovation with contemporary updates and classic elements

The Park Gstaad, which first opened in 1910, is being renovated to preserve its historical style while incorporating new elements. Under the ownership of philanthropist and sportswoman Dona Bertarelli, the renovation project, led by Squircle Capital and designed by interior designer Joseph Dirand, aims to update the property while maintaining its classic alpine aesthetic. Once completed, the hotel will offer 75 rooms and suites, along with Penthouse Residences that will be available for purchase, managed by Four Seasons. This project will provide future owners with a living experience combined with Four Seasons’ property management expertise.

“Gstaad has long been a favourite destination in Europe for luxury travellers, and we are excited to have the unique opportunity to enter this exclusive market with such an exceptional property,” “We look forward to working with our partners to bring together the very best of this legendary property with the service excellence of Four Seasons to create a world-class luxury experience.” – Bart Carnahan, President, Global Business Development, Portfolio Management and Residential, Four Seasons.

An experience in the heart of the Alps

The hotel will offer panoramic views of the Swiss Alps and be located near Gstaad’s town center. Moreover, the property will feature a range of facilities, including a destination spa, fitness center, multiple dining options, and seasonal amenities such as an ice rink. In addition to these, guests can enjoy a tennis court, ski and bike services, and family-friendly offerings like the Kids For All Seasons program.

The renovation will also include upgrades to employee accommodations, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to supporting its staff and ensuring a positive working environment.

“We have found the ideal partners for a property that has been part of my personal journey in the region,” “As Gstaad’s first luxury hotel, The Park Gstaad holds a special place in the region’s heritage, and I am excited to unveil its transformation into a Four Seasons experience, where its legacy meets modern elegance for residents and visitors to enjoy.” – Dona Bertarelli, Founder and Executive Chair – Dona Bertarelli Philanthropy  and Co-Chair of the Bertarelli Foundation.

Expanding Four Seasons’ Alpine presence

The Park Gstaad will join Four Seasons’ collection of alpine properties, adding to the brand’s established presence in destinations like Megève, Jackson Hole, and Vail. This expansion into Gstaad further strengthens Four Seasons’ position in the luxury hospitality market, offering travelers a refined and exclusive experience in one of the world’s most iconic mountain destinations.
