Originally opened in 1947, the hotel features 171 rooms and a swank 2,824 sq ft ocean-view penthouse. Dining includes Gigi Rigolatto and Mimi Kakushi, while the hotel now emphasizes wellness over nightlife. Renovated with input from Miami's Historic Preservation Division, it balances historic charm with modern flair. Rates start at $650.

🏨 Gypsum Hotel Partners is set to begin construction on a 140-room dual-brand Hilton Hotel near Eagle County Regional Airport, Gypsum, Colorado, with completion projected for early 2028. The hotel, operated by Crestline Hotels and Resorts, will include Hampton Inn & Suites and Home2 Suites. Facilities feature 1,100 square feet of meeting space, an indoor pool, and more. Chris Manley and Bryan Desmond lead the development, with financing by FirstBank. ArrowMark Partners has invested over $4 billion since 2019.

📍 ITC Hotels Limited announced a management agreement for a 101-key Welcomhotel in the Karai area of Gandhinagar. The hotel will feature well-appointed rooms, dining options, and 10,000 square feet of indoor event space, plus 46,000 square feet of outdoor lawns. Located strategically between Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad, it will open this year, enhancing ITC Hotels' footprint in Gujarat, a rapidly growing industrial hub. The development aims to cater to leisure travelers and large social events.

🎤 Pür, located on the Aegean coast of Cunda, Turkey, is a 24,000-square-foot retreat and recording studio designed by SOUR with musicians. Opened in May/June 2026, it includes a 12-room hotel, restaurant, and music production facility. The studio features a 75-piece orchestra room and advanced acoustic engineering. Guests can explore spaces 33 feet underground, with natural light filtering in. It's designed to enhance creativity, aligning the environment with artistic expression.

🏨 Who? Conrad Athens the Ilisian, Hilton, Yannis Moralis, AvroKO, Mare Studio, Saridis, Eleni Vernadaki, Dino Michael. When? Recently opened. Where? Athens, Greece. What? Transformation of Hilton Athens into a mixed-use resort with 278 rooms and suites, including the Omega Penthouse. Amenities include a wellness ecosystem, House of NYNN, and nine dining concepts. How? Combining historical elements with modern luxury, commissioned artworks, largest outdoor pool in Athens, and a rooftop gym.

🍦 Located in Glenelg, Australia, Gelato Messina by Sans-Arc Studio transforms the traditional gelato shop with bold, immersive design inspired by southern Italian nostalgia. Utilizing radical color schemes and durable materials, the interior features open spaces and limited seating to accommodate large crowds. Its design highlights movement and social interaction, with subtle nods to Sicilian culture and playful elements like vendor cart motifs and lightboxes.

🏨 Sonesta International Hotels will debut the James Nautilus Miami Beach on Collins Avenue later this year. This 250-room hotel will be the flagship of the revamped James Hotels brand. The project pays tribute to the original Nautilus Hotel, designed by Morris Lapidus in the 1950s. A collaboration with LDV Hospitality will offer Mediterranean cuisine, omakase dining, and a late-night lounge. Expansion plans include a Downtown Miami location by 2030.

🏨 Ava Hotel Paso Robles, Curio Collection by Hilton, was honored as the Best New Build within the brand at Hilton's 2025 Americas Development Awards. Located in Paso Robles, California, the hotel is owned by Paso Robles Hotel Partners and Peachtree Group, managed by Azul Hospitality Group, and opened in August 2025. It features over 6,500 square feet of meeting space. The award highlights the project's investment, vision, and community impact.

🏝️ OUTRIGGER Kauaʻi Beach Resort & Spa, located near Līhuʻe Airport, reopened with redesigned guestrooms, public spaces, and cultural elements. The resort also introduced Ocean House by Roy Yamaguchi, a restaurant emphasizing local cuisine and relationships with Kauaʻi’s farmers and fishermen. This transformation is part of OUTRIGGER’s commitment to blending modern hospitality with local culture, featuring art by Allegra Scribner and others.

🏨 Pemako Hotels plans to complete the renovation of its Thimphu property by 2027, led by P49 Design, with updates including redesigned bedrooms and traditional Bhutanese decor. The company opened Pemako Punakha in September 2023, featuring 21 villas on 60 acres, designed by Bill Bensley. A third hotel in Paro is planned for 2029, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group.
