ROSEWOOD RESORT OPENS NEAR SALZBURG: Rosewood Schloss Fuschl has opened its doors in Salzburg, Austria. Sitting atop Lake Fuschl and the base of the Austrian Alps, the 15th century castle was restored and reimagined to reopen as the Rosewood hotel. Rosewood Schloss Fuschl offers 98 rooms, including 42 suites and six chalets. Originally constructed in 1461 as a hunting lodge for the Prince-Archbishops of Salzburg, the hotel was converted into a luxury hotel in 1947. Guests can enjoy guided fishing excursions on the lake, forest foraging and cooking expeditions in neighboring alpine huts. The luxury resort includes a restaurant, bar, a 1,500-square-meter spa with indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center and a leisure beach club. This is Rosewood’s second property in Austria, following the opening of Rosewood Vienna in 2022. Rosewood’s global portfolio consists of 33 luxury hotels, resorts and residences across 21 countries.
IHG DEBUTS IN KASHMIR: IHG Hotels & Resorts is adding to its Indian portfolio and is set to debut in Kashmir in northern India. IHG has signed a management agreement with Geelan Residency for voco Srinagar, Kashmir. The new-build hotel is anticipated to open in Q4 2026 and marks the sixth voco hotel under development in India, following the brand’s launch in Jim Corbett earlier this year. Located in Srinagar’s commercial area, voco Srinagar will feature 95 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a pool deck, fitness center pool and meeting areas. Currently, IHG has 45 hotels operating under five brands across India, with a pipeline of 50 more properties expected to open within five years.

SOHO HOUSE OPENS IN SAO PAULO: Soho House has added its first property in South America with the opening of Soho House São Paulo. This also marks the second Soho House in Latin America. Located in Cidade Matarazzo in the Bela Vista neighborhood, the House sits within a historic hospital building. Soho House São Paulo is built around a central courtyard and offers 32 rooms, a gym, a rooftop pool bar, restaurant and club spaces for members. The property features an art collection comprising more than 60 artists born, based or trained in Brazil.
WESTIN SAN DIEGO COMPLETES RENOVATIONS: The Westin San Diego Bayview has completed a $20 million renovation, which includes upgrades to its 436 rooms and meeting spaces. The hotel is located close to the Gaslamp Quarter and destinations like Petco Park and the San Diego Zoo. Aimbridge Hospitality operates the hotel and was in charge of the renovation, with HVSDesign leading the design. The hotel’s meeting areas, spanning 30,000 square feet of space, have been enhanced to feature latest amenities in a revitalized space. The hotel also offers an onsite dining venue and a fitness center.
