The Drop Pin Challenge, led by Dylan Efron, offers 10 million points across 20 U.S. and Canadian destinations. First two brands in the Outdoor Collection: Postcard Cabins (1,200 properties) and Trailborn Hotels. Upcoming Marriott Bonvoy Moments include hiking in Hawaii and snorkeling in Belize, extending through 2026.

Great Wolf Lodge taps GMs for three key properties

John Taffin, now general manager at Great Wolf Lodge Maryland, led a $40 million renovation at Grand Mound. Jordan Austin-Harris, with 25 years in hospitality, becomes general manager at Great Wolf Lodge Webster. Great Wolf Resorts opened new locations in Webster, Texas (August 2024), Naples, Florida (September 2024), and Mashantucket, Connecticut (May 2025).

Local Finds: MML Hospitality finds success on the edges

🏨 In 2021, MML Hospitality, led by Larry McGuire, Tom Moorman, and Liz Lambert, revamped Hotel Saint Vincent in New Orleans into a 75-room boutique hotel, originally an 1861 orphanage. They acquired Nine Orchard in NYC for $92 million, featuring 113 rooms, with rates up to $1,000/night. MML plans a 57-room hotel in Austin by 2027 and a 59-room chalet in Aspen, blending local partnerships with unique designs in evolving neighborhoods.

Ivy Hospitality now managing Tudor Arms Hotel Cleveland

The Seaport Hotel appoints new GM

Aimbridge grows All-Inclusive division with Wyndham Alltra resorts in the Dominican Republic

🏖 Aimbridge Hospitality has taken over management of two Wyndham Alltra resorts in the Dominican Republic — Punta Cana and Samaná — under its new All-Inclusive division launched in August 2023. Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana offers 620 rooms, a 1,600-meter pool, and nine dining venues across 47 acres. Samaná features 404 rooms and five restaurants on 37 acres. Both resorts began renovations in 2024. All-inclusive hotels are expanding four times faster than other leisure segments.
