Slice Mobile, the UK’s First eSIM Only Network, Opens Doors to Customers

  • Slice to offer customers an opportunity to co-create the network by treating them like owners

  • Slice is the UK’s first eSIM only network available exclusively via an app

  • Slice will offer monthly rolling plans, which include roaming allowance and unlimited talk and text as well as annual cashback incentives

  • Founding Slicers jump straight to the highest tier of cashback which is 20% back on their annual spend. Plus the chance to win a £30k house deposit.

  • Slice to offer a 7 day free trial to all new customers

Slice Mobile, the UK’s first eSIM-only network, marks its early release launch today, welcoming its founding customers.

As the latest mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in the UK, Slice is the only network to offer an entirely app-based eSIM experience.

The mobile network has said it wants to treat customers like “co-owners”, giving them the opportunity to “shape” the service together through votes on product features and benefits. Even contributing to naming decisions.

The eSim company will offer four core monthly rolling plans designed to cater to different usage needs that include unlimited talk and text, as well as generously sized data packages and EU roaming.

Plans will start at £10 per month and come with a free 7 day trial.

Rob Brock, product director of Slice, said: “We are very excited to start letting founding customers through the doors and getting the Slice app into their hands.

“From the beginning, our vision has been to develop a network that not only provides unparalleled service and functionality but also evolves effortlessly with the dynamic needs of mobile users. A key decision early on was to make Slice an eSIM only mobile network.

“With the eSIM market rapidly expanding and our audience’s growing demand for sustainable and instant connectivity options, the move to eSIM was a clear and natural choice for us.

Brock added: “At Slice, our mission goes beyond delivering exceptional connectivity and a seamless app experience—we’re committed to breaking down barriers for customers who want to engage with us as their mobile network.

“We view our customers as co-owners, empowering them to actively co-create and shape the network and its features, ensuring it becomes the network they’ve always envisioned.

“In return, we’ll reward them with things they actually want to own. Our ultimate goal is to establish a community where there is no distinction between ‘us’ and ‘them,’ but rather a single community of ‘us’.”

Slice, currently in its early release, will be opening doors to its founding customers gradually. Founding ‘Slicers’ will jump to the highest tier of cashback of 20% back on their annual spend.

It also includes the chance to win a £30k house deposit.
