Just like any aspect of experiential hospitality, the success of your pool area hinges on meticulous attention to detail. Everything, from landscaping to furniture, should enhance the guest experience and fit seamlessly into your property’s aesthetic.

Parting Thoughts on Practicalities

Maintaining your pool to perfection is paramount. And don’t forget to check with your insurance provider to understand any rate impact. Ours required us to post standard “no lifeguard on duty,” pool rules, and depth signage, and added around $1,000/year. Honestly not bad at all.

Lastly, be sure to incorporate storytelling into the design and marketing of your pool area. Share the inspiration behind the design, highlight unique features, and use compelling visuals to showcase the poolside experience. This is one of the biggest opportunities to create and cue up instagrammable moments for your guests, and you can’t afford not to nail it.
