NexGen Hotels acquires Fort Lauderdale Northwest Fairfield Inn

NexGen Hotels, the hotel development and management company based in Itasca, Ill., has acquired the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Northwest. The purchase price and other terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Located in Tamarac, Fla., the 120-key hotel will be managed by the Hollywood, Fla.-based AD1 Global. The hotel is situated on the Colony Golf Course 12 miles from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport and offers easy access to HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital and University, Sawgrass Mills Mall, Amerant Bank Arena, Florida Panthers IceDen, Tamarac Sports Complex and other shopping, dining and entertainment options.

“We are thrilled to add the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Northwest to the NexGen portfolio of hotels,” said Chris Patel, president, NexGen Hotels. “The Fort Lauderdale area remains a key area for us and we feel that the Fairfield Inn brand is a good fit for this area as well as our portfolio.”

Catering to both business and leisure travelers, the hotel features rooms with modern amenities. Each suite includes a microwave, mini-refrigerator, Keurig coffeemaker and 55” flat-screen television with in-room technology.

All guests can avail complimentary breakfast buffet, an outdoor pool, a fitness center and free Wi-Fi.

Founded in 2007, NexGen Hotels’ portfolio consists of hotels across the Midwest, Florida and California with properties under Marriott, Hilton, IHG and Best Western. The company also owns and manages restaurants, assisted living facilities and retail centers.
