When you step into a hotel today, it’s nothing like the one your parents stayed at back in their day. The hospitality industry has seen tremendous change over just the past few years, especially in how it has deployed technological solutions. To stay competitive and agile in today’s market, it has become necessary for hotel establishments to equip their spaces with updated technology to streamline the flow of communication. One way to do this is by installing digital signage solutions into high-traffic spaces to share relevant, entertaining information with guests.

Digital signage solutions are superior options due to their flexible installation and the variety of sizes and features offered. These tools can communicate crucial information to ensure that staff are providing consistent service, while keeping guests engaged, and entertained during their stay. In fact, nearly 65% of hotel guests feel that digital signage solutions improved their stay and experience. As we head into the new year, now is the time for hoteliers to assess their tech and consider adding or upgrading digital signage solutions in their space.

Clear Communication Channels for Staff

With so many hotel employees and team members moving rapidly throughout the property to tend to guests’ needs, internal communication can be a challenge. It can be difficult to reach all team members via phone or email when many do not work at a traditional desk. Therefore, digital signage can be an ideal choice to communicate effectively and efficiently while on the run.

One important factor to consider when installing digital signage for employees is location. An ideal spot is to place it where team members clock in and huddle up before the day, so that all employees are up to speed. Everything from safety measures, new protocols to food handling can be showcased on digital signage solutions to ensure this information is readily available for team members. Additionally, when hiring new staff members, digital signage solutions can be ideal for sharing training videos or running classes to make new team members feel confident and prepared in their role.

Going Beyond Check-In

Beyond the back of the house, digital signage solutions can be a great addition to high-traffic spaces to communicate with guests. Many hotels have been incorporating large dVLED displays to act as a centerpiece within a space. Positioning them in a lobby or restaurant area can share relevant information with viewers like details on the hotel’s loyalty program, credit cards or current promotions. Additionally, hotels can adjust the display to showcase various scenes to change the mood and ambiance of a space.

Digital signage solutions can also help hotels incorporate entertainment for guests and create spaces for gathering. From showing sporting events to getting a group together for a game of bingo or trivia, hotels can not only create an inviting, engaging space but also keep guests on their property, increasing sales and revenue. Related solutions like projectors have also become increasingly popular to keep patrons entertained – especially if you have outdoor spaces where you’d like to hold events.

Overall, digital signage solutions can do wonders for enhancing communication for both your staff and guests. It allows everyone to be updated with the latest information at the moment, providing a seamless experience for all. As the hospitality industry continues to evolve, incorporating digital signage solutions can ensure hotels stay competitive and meet customers’ expectations well into the future.
