Evok Collection‘s newest property Brach Madrid is now open and welcoming guests as of January 2025. The design-led five-star hotel by world renowned Architect Philippe Stark, located centrally on Gran Vía in the Spanish capital, joins Evok Collection’s four-property portfolio consisting of Brach Paris, Cour des Vosges and Nolinski Paris and follows the successful launch of Nolinski Venezia in Italy last summer. Brach Madrid will be Evok Collection’s first location in Spain and second outside of Paris.
Brach Madrid, housed in a beautiful seven-storey building boasting an elegant white stone façade and located on Madrid’s vibrant thoroughfare Gran Vía, is home to 57 rooms, a Restaurant, Bar, Patisserie and cutting-edge spa, La Capsule. The historical building built in 1922 has been reimagined by French Architect and Designer Phillippe Starck, who has adapted his signature ‘modern nostalgic’ design inspired by the 1920s and 30s and beloved at popular Paris property, Brach Paris, to embody Madrid’s passionate spirit and storied history.
Rooms
Designed to feel like a private home, Brach Madrid’s 57 rooms, including four suites, embody an intimate and eclectic spirit. Philippe Starck, tells the story of a love affair, that of a woman loved by the man who adorns each of the rooms with his memories. The objects used to decorate the rooms and the graffiti on the walls are all reminders of the passage of time and the past lives of those who use these spaces. Each of the rooms boast a soft colour palette of jatoba wood & golden tones with flashes of pink & orange to complement the interiors. While bathrooms feature precious stone, Breccia, and terracotta and moss green hues threaded through, creating a feeling of calm and serenity.
Brach Le Restaurant
Embodying Madrid’s grand cafe in the 1920s, Brach Madrid’s Restaurant is directed by Chef Adam Bentalha and features a Mediterranean inspired, sharing style menu with a welcoming atmosphere. The offering incorporates strong elements of Spanish culinary culture such as open-fire cooking, locally sourced produce and seasonal menus. The restaurant also features an intimate cocktail Bar, inspired by Spain’s traditional village cafes.
La Pâtisserie, a homage to the sacred hour of coffees & pastries adored by both Parisians and Madrileños alike, displays a selection of sweets prepared by the pastry chef and inspired by both French and Spanish flavours from éclairs, Opéra, lemon meringue tarts to seasonal fruit tarts and turrón.
La Capsule Wellness
The property is home to La Capsule, a tranquil wellness sanctuary in the centre of bustling Madrid that combines holistic practices with advanced technology. The spa, fit with cream marble interiors that exude peace and serenity, features a 20m swimming pool and offers mindful movement sessions
and fitness coaching. Fit with myBlend and Clarins amenities, La Capsule also boasts a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, guided ice bath, infrared sauna, steam room, floatation bath, recovery room, and massages treatments such as cupping, Tui Na, Chi Nei Tsang. Additional specialist treatments include electrostimulation, LED photo biomodulation and cryotherapy.
