The Nickel Hotel, a forthcoming luxury boutique hotel from acclaimed hospitality company Method Co., in partnership with renowned New York-based architect, Morris Adjmi Architects, and Capital Square, is now accepting reservations for May 2025.
Located on Charleston’s historic Upper King Street, The Nickel Hotel marks Method Co.’s second development in the city after The Pinch, a luxury boutique hotel situated down the street at King and George Streets, which is also home to the nationally acclaimed restaurant Lowland.
Guests can now secure reservations for stays beginning on May 1st during the soft opening period, with a grand opening to follow in timing with the launch of The Nickel Hotel’s rooftop bar and lounge, Rosemary Rose, in late spring. Once officially open, the five-story brand new building will feature 50 rooms and suites, a lush interior courtyard, an intimate guest-only bar and parlour, and a rooftop bar and lounge with sweeping views of the city.
The Nickel Hotel was named for the French expression, “C’est Nickel.” Translation: “It’s Perfect.” Designed by renowned New York-based Morris Adjmi Architects in partnership with Method Co.’s in-house design team, Method Studios, the hotels feature a fusion of vintage and contemporary furniture, custom lighting, and curated art works and objects sourced from the region, creating a dialogue between past and present.
Guests of The Nickel Hotel will experience the refined comforts of home in each thoughtfully designed room and suite, featuring full-size kitchens, a washer and dryer, and dining and lounge areas, many complete with balconies. Travelers can choose their preferred view, with accommodations facing the bustling King Street or the intimate central courtyard.
