GREENVILLE, S.C. — At Hospitality America, people matter. It’s with that shared mindset that Adam Bullard joins the third-party hotel management company as Corporate Director of Human Resources. In the hotel environment, this position is more crucial than ever as operators strive to mitigate challenges such as high employee turnover, customer service demands, and increasingly diverse workforces across multiple locations. In this role, Bullard will navigate these complexities for the growing company that is managing 20 Hilton and Marriott brand hotels.
Like all our executive leaders, Adam is a people person. He’s passionate, driven, and connects easily with employees at all levels. What impressed me most is his strong communication skills. As HR Director, Adam will oversee all people-related functions—hiring, training, policy development, and compliance—ensuring our teams are supported and our business goals are met. He brings a calm, focused approach under pressure and will play a key role in strengthening recruitment, onboarding, retention, and employee engagement. We’re excited to welcome him aboard. Strong, Yet Unconventional Background
Bullard brings a diverse and dynamic background to Hospitality America. A former Minor League Baseball player whose career shifted after an injury, he has since held multiple HR leadership roles across the consulting, manufacturing, and automotive industries. He thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about building strong teams. With a master’s degree in Ministerial/Organizational Leadership and a bachelor’s degree in management, Bullard is skilled in developing effective recruitment strategies, streamlining onboarding, and enhancing retention through career development and employee engagement. He is also experienced in guiding organizations through change and crisis, helping companies adapt while supporting both their people and operations.
I had the good fortune of connecting with Ben Campbell several years ago, and during those times we always discussed Human Resource topics pertaining to Hospitality America
, Bullard said. I’ve kept my eye on the company, and was so pleased to watch it grow. Their PEACH culture is exemplary and it’s making waves across hospitality – a culture that other companies want to emulate. When the opportunity presented itself for me to lead HR, I knew the time was right to join the Hospitality America family.
Bullard is working to:
- Explain to employees who Hospitality America is and who they work for. The history of the company is rich, and Bullard said he believes each employee must understand the pillars on which the company is built from the moment they onboard. It is critical that each person understands the important role he or she plays and the impact their performance has on the success of the company.
- Provide ongoing training to hourly and salary employees and give them the tools they need to grow with the company and establish a clear career path.
- Visit each property, meet every team member in person, and sit down with both managers and employees to get to know them beyond just a name tag or employee number. His goal is to have meaningful conversations that offer insight into each person and their role—demonstrating that Hospitality America is committed to supporting their development and success.
As I embark on this new role, better training, clearer communication, and stronger workplace culture will be the means to higher productivity and better guest experiences,
Bullard said. With good HR practices, Hospitality America will become more attractive to job seekers. This will improve the quality of hires and reduce recruitment costs. My plan is to leverage HR analytics to make more informed decisions about labor costs, turnover, performance, and workforce planning. And identify and develop future leaders through succession strategies that ensure continuity and growth.
Bullard is currently commuting from Easley, S.C., to Greenville, where he lives with his wife and three children; a fourth child is coming in September. When not at work, Bullard is passionate about spending time with his family and is heavily involved in church and the community.
It’s important to give back as much as we can to provide help to whomever needs it
