Core Hospitality has established a new professional board of directors as part of its strategy for growth and long-term positioning in the hospitality industry. Five experienced industry leaders will provide strategic guidance and oversight as Core Hospitality continues its expansion in Denmark and Norway.
The newly appointed board members bring a wealth of expertise in hospitality, finance, operations, and brand development. Their combined knowledge will support Core Hospitality’s mission to operate hotels with excellence and integrity—creating value for its partners, opportunities for its employees, and meaningful experiences for its guests.
The establishment of a professional board is a natural next step in Core Hospitality’s development. As we continue to grow, having an experienced and diverse board will strengthen our strategic decision-making and ensure we remain a leading player in hospitality management in the Nordics. Peter Haaber, CEO of Core Hospitality
Katia Østergaard has been appointed Chair of the Board. With more than 25 years of executive experience in Danish business—most notably as CEO of HORESTA and Executive Director at the Danish Chamber of Commerce—she now focuses on board work and strategic advisory through Neumann Hospitality. She is a recognized expert in strategy, governance, and public affairs within the service and experience industries.
Andrew Harrington, Managing Partner at AHV Associates in London, brings over 30 years of experience in the financial sector. A former top-ranked analyst at Salomon Brothers (now Citigroup Inc.), he has since founded and led several companies specializing in investment and capital advisory, particularly within hospitality and commercial real estate. Andrew is also a non-executive board member of a UK-based venture capital fund.
John Kirketerp is an architect and property developer with extensive experience from projects across Denmark, the UK, and Germany. He has previously led C.F. Møller’s London office and has long been an active investor in commercial properties and hospitality businesses.
The board also includes two key executives from Core Hospitality’s leadership team:
- Peter Haaber, CEO and Founder of Core Hospitality, has over 30 years of experience in the hotel industry, including as the founder and former CEO of Zleep Hotels.
- Jesper Østerhegn, Chief Development Officer, has led investment and development initiatives in both Danish and international companies and has been with Core Hospitality since 2016.
It is a pleasure to assume the role of Chair of Core Hospitality’s Board. I have met an ambitious leadership team with clear values and a modern approach to hotel management that aligns with my own. With its flexible approach and collaborations with, among others, Marriott, Core Hospitality has already positioned itself as an attractive partner for property investors. I look forward to contributing to strengthening the company’s market positioning and supporting its sustainable growth in the Nordics. Katia Østergaard, Chair of the Board at Core Hospitality
With the new board in place, Core Hospitality gains a strong strategic foundation to realize its ambitions for growth and innovation within the Nordic hospitality sector.
