A new Swedish destination hotel is nearing land, only 30 minutes from Stockholm. Rooted in the historic heart of Södertälje, The Dock Urban Hotel & Spa will be a new hub for experiences, taking its inspiration from international cities. With 14 floors, 183 rooms, a large spa, restaurant, sky bar, conference floor and fitness studio, The Dock is set to be a one-of-a-kind experience.
In November 2025, a new meeting place anchors in Södertälje: The Dock Urban Hotel & Spa. Inspired by Södertälje’s historic harbor and canal trade, The Dock is a celebration of the city’s rich heritage. At the same time, it invites guests to a world of relaxation, meetings and social moments. Located at the new marina in the city center, the hotel will boast one of Södertälje’s most attractive locations.
The opening of The Dock marks Nordic Hotels & Resorts’ first presence in the exciting Södertälje. The ambition is for this growing city to have a brand new landmark that really brings the world together, in everything from culinary inspiration to activities. A Canalside Hub of Inspiration
The Dock will serve up an array of outlets, like its all-day restaurant Jackie’s. Here, flavors inspired by the world’s culinary capitals meet. After that, the journey continues at high altitude in Birds Eye, the cocktail bar with 360-degree views. With its 183 rooms, three of which are suites, The Dock also offers versatile accommodation—and for the business traveler there is The Dock Back Stage, the hotel’s conference and event locale with everything from a banquet hall to an intimate movie theater.
The Dock opens in November 2025, but will be fully completed in June 2026 when the hotel’s spa opens. The Dock Spa aims to be an oasis of style, tranquility and raw elegance on a total of 1,400 square meters. Its lower level will feature saunas and pools, while the upper level will have an outdoor pool and terrace. Set to open simultaneously is The Dock Gym, a 120 square meter big seaside workout area, fully equipped with modern technology.
With its unique location, where Södertälje’s historic charm meets the energy of the future, The Dock has the ambitious goal of putting Södertälje on the international hotel map.
