Set in the village of San Cassiano, in Italy‘s UNESCO-listed Dolomites, Aman Rosa Alpina will reopen on 24 July 2025 following a complete transformation led by Aman and architect Jean-Michel Gathy.
The hotel has long been known for its discreet charm and close proximity to the Alta Badia ski region, operated for three generations by the Pizzinini family. After several years as an Aman partner property, it is now fully integrated into the group’s global portfolio. The redesign aims to preserve the spirit of the original hotel while bringing it in line with Aman’s hallmarks of privacy, intuitive service and serene design.
At the heart of the updated property is a newly constructed double-height arrival lounge, anchored by a bespoke bar inspired by the original piano bar. The 68 rooms and suites have all been redesigned, with two new 150-square-metre Aman Suites introduced, alongside a revamped Chalet Zeno, now configured as a private two-suite mountain residence.
A new Aman Spa introduces three swimming pools (two indoor, one outdoor), a Jacuzzi, and a treatment menu rooted in the restorative traditions of the Dolomites. The spa joins a broader offering of family-friendly facilities, including three private cinemas, games rooms for all ages, and a ski lounge with heated boot racks and curated equipment rental.
Dining at Aman Rosa Alpina will feature several new experiences: an Italian grill, an all-day lounge for cocktails and afternoon tea, and a dedicated breakfast room with live cooking stations. A cigar and spirits lounge will offer a space for evening indulgence, while private wine tastings will be hosted in a new cellar-style library. A Japanese restaurant is planned for the 2025/26 winter season.
The property also serves as a gateway to over 1,200 kilometres of ski terrain in winter, and offers guided hiking, mountain biking and climbing in the summer. Guests will have exclusive access to two private mountain cabins, owned by the Pizzinini family, where chefs will prepare wood-fired lunches as part of full-day excursions.
