Local gin, sunsets and front-row views of Bournemouth’s Friday night fireworks at Bournemouth’s iconic seaside hotel
This summer, Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel has partnered with local distillery, The Conker Distillery to launch a summer-long Conker Gin pop-up, open to both hotel guests and locals throughout August and September.
Running from Friday 1 August, the pop-up will serve Conker’s award-winning small-batch gins from the hotel’s outdoor pool bar, including a specially created Highcliff Gin & Tonic – a refreshing blend of Conker Raspberry Gin, tonic, lemon and mint. Guests can enjoy gin serves and cocktails beneath branded conker deck chairs, take in the coastal views, and soak up a relaxed summer atmosphere just steps from the beach.
The pop-up bar will be open daily, but Friday evenings promise something extra special: front-row views of Bournemouth’s weekly fireworks, which light up the sky from Bournemouth Pier every Friday night at 10pm throughout August.
“We’re lucky to have one of the best views in Bournemouth, and this pop-up is all about making the most of it,” said Michael Regenhardt, General Manager at Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel. “Following our recent renovation, it felt like the perfect time to partner with a brilliant local brand and offer guests and locals something special.”
“For us, this is a bit of a homecoming,” added Rupert Holloway, Founder of the Conker Distillery. “Our Distillery is just down the hill, so popping up here with a G&T hand and fireworks in the sky really sums up what a Dorset summer is all about.”
The Conker Gin pop-up is open daily throughout August and September from 12pm for residents and after 7pm for non-residents. The Conker Distillery tours are available every Friday and Saturday at the Southbourne distillery from 2-4pm.
