A key partnership for growth in the upscale sector

The voco Hamburg-Altona project will comprise 143 rooms and will be located in the dynamic Altona district, close to the famous Hamburg-Altona Bahnhof, one of the city’s main transport hubs.

The signing of the contract demonstrates the commitment of both groups to expand in the upscale segment. This project is part of a broader plan to strengthen the voco brand’s presence in key cities across Germany.

“Securing the voco Hamburg-Altona project is another strong sign of mutual trust and cooperation with IHG. Our strategic partnership enables us to grow sustainably in the upscale segment and open new locations with premium brands such as voco Hotels. Following the milestone in Berlin, we are delighted to also be bringing voco to Hamburg, a city where this brand has not yet been present.” – David Etmenan, owner of NOVUM Hospitality

Prime location and accessibility

The voco Hamburg-Altona will enjoy an ideal location, just a few minutes’ walk from public transportation and the city center. The local infrastructure, well served by regional trains, S-Bahn lines, and the A7 motorway, makes it a strategic location for both business travelers and tourists.

Altona, with its creative atmosphere and modern urban development, already attracts cultural and innovative players, adding to the appeal of this neighborhood.

Luxury hotels are more expensive than ever to build. It doesn’t mean they aren’t getting done.

“The collaboration between NOVUM Hospitality and IHG continues to progress. We are constantly adding new hotels to our pipeline and seeing exponential growth. It is exciting to see this collaboration leading us to new successes; this project symbolizes our long-term partnership.” – Samira Said, CEO of NOVUM Hospitality

A hotel with a distinctive design

The voco Hamburg-Altona will feature a modern design while offering the comfort that is characteristic of the voco brand. With 143 rooms, the hotel promises to meet the expectations of modern travelers looking for personalized service and an authentic atmosphere.

The project is being developed by NOVUM Real Estate Development GmbH, in collaboration with GATE Hospitality & Design mbH, which is also managing the project. With this second voco project in Germany, following the opening of voco Berlin Alexanderplatz, NOVUM Hospitality and IHG are strengthening their presence in the upscale sector, and additional projects are already in the planning stages.

The development of this brand is an example of adapting to the needs of a high-end clientele in a booming city, and both groups expect continued growth in their partnership. In addition to the development of the voco brand, this partnership has also enabled the expansion of the Holiday Inn and Garner brands in the German market.
