Great Northern Hotel, the Grade II-listed hotel located in King’s Cross, London, has announced that it will operate under the Kaya Hotels and Resorts brand with a new name: Kaya Great Northern Hotel.
Now fully integrated into the group’s portfolio as Kaya GNH, the move reflects the strategic vision of Kaya Tourism Group’s acquisition of the 88-bedroom property in June 2024.
Turkish Hotel Group, Kaya Tourism Group, acquired the hotel in June 2024 and has managed operations since December 2024. Starting from 5 September, all the transition processes will be completed.
The move underscores Kaya’s commitment to expanding its presence in London and across Europe.
A spokesperson for Kaya Hotels and Resorts said: “We are delighted to have made our first international hotel investment in London. With this hotel, we aim to showcase the finest examples of Turkish hospitality and increase the number of foreign tourists visiting our hotels in Türkiye.
“Additionally, we are proud to be the first Turkish tourism company to make such a significant hotel investment in the UK. We believe this investment will strengthen mutual tourism relations between Turkey and the UK. We’re excited to build on its strengths to create even more memorable experiences for our guests.”
In 2013, Kaya Great Northern Hotel completed a fully comprehensive renovation which kept its townhouse elegance, from the grand exterior to the wide curving corridors, and its 88 en-suite rooms.
The hotels also offer a modern British brasserie and bar, RAILS and Little Bar, the all-day GNH Bar and Terrace along with private dining and meetings space, The Carriage.
