Tokyu Hotels joins Global Sustainable Tourism Council

President Takashi Takei emphasizes their commitment to international standards, while CEO Randy Durband supports their sustainability efforts.

The Woodcote secures planning approval for South Downs retreat

IHG launches premium Noted Collection for independent hotels

📌 IHG launches Noted Collection, a new premium brand targeting upscale hotels in the EMEAA region. Over the next decade, IHG aims to incorporate 150 Noted Collection hotels globally. Hyatt CEO Mark Hoplamazian succeeds Thomas Pritzker as chairman

Minor Hotels profit growth jumps 32% in 2025

🏨 Minor Hotels reported a 32% rise in core profits to THB 6.8bn (£161m) for 2025. Revenues hit THB 133.2bn (£3.1m), with group sales up 4% to THB 166.1bn (£3.9m). Occupancy rose to 68%, with a 3% increase in average daily rates. Europe and the Americas drove earnings, boosting profits through leisure and corporate recovery. The group signed 40 new projects and rebranded 23 properties, pursuing an asset-light model. Expectations remain positive for 2026.

Kronen Collection completes refurb programme and appoints new CEO

Chris McLaughlin was appointed CEO, Christina Stephenson became group sales and marketing manager, Javier Labbe was promoted to group accountant, and Marlon Kagoro took over as hotel manager at The Crown Hotel. The focus is on asset quality and individuality.

Grand Metropolitan Hotels plans expansion into Vietnam

Historic Tankerville Arms Hotel price cut ahead of auction

Bob W signs lease for third Stockholm property
