The one question that tripled our Direct Bookings…
“Do you work with creators?”

That was one of the first Instagram DMs I intercepted as the new Head of Marketing at a startup treehouse resort.

My answer?
“Yes!”

No plan. No playbook. No strategy.
Just a gut instinct that if we said yes, something good could come of it.

For the next two years, we hosted a new creator every single week.
At first, it was messy.
We had no system.
I had to adapt fast to protect both the property and the relationships.

But over time, the strategy got sharper. We built boundaries, structured agreements, and processes that made the partnership sustainable.

And the results?
🌲 93% direct bookings
🌲 Over $1M in sales
🌲 A brand that grew faster than we could have imagined

All from saying “yes” to that one question and then learning, adjusting, and building along the way.

The lesson: you don’t need a perfect strategy to start.
You need a willingness to experiment, adapt, and commit to making it work.

Because sometimes the path to growth isn’t in the spreadsheet, it’s in the DM.
