Drury Hotels is expanding its presence in Tennessee with the construction of a new hotel in Pigeon Forge. The Drury Plaza Hotel, scheduled to open in September, will be the company’s sixth hotel in the state.
The new resort-style hotel, located at 140 Jake Thomas Road off U.S. Route 321, will feature more than 250 guest rooms and offer a range of amenities including free parking, on-site dining and the company’s signature customer service. Guests can also expect views of the Smoky Mountains and the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River from the property.
“The Drury team is busy preparing to bring our trusted service and value to travelers in Pigeon Forge,” said Chuck Drury, CEO of Drury Hotels. “We are proud to offer guests a clean, comfortable stay with the amenities they’ve come to trust as they enjoy all the attractions and scenery the area offers.”
The Drury Plaza Hotel Pigeon Forge is positioned to be convenient for visitors to the area’s top attractions, including Dollywood, the TITANIC Museum and Great Smoky Mountains National Park, all located within a 15-minute drive. It will also be the closest hotel to the LeConte Event Center, a 230,000-square-foot venue for concerts, meetings and events.
The hotel will offer several amenities designed to appeal to both leisure and business travelers. These include complimentary breakfast, free evening snacks and beverages, a casual dining venue, business and fitness centers, an indoor pool and splash pad, outdoor spa and free Wi-Fi.
Drury Hotels plans to hire approximately 70 full-time and part-time team members once the hotel opens. As construction continues, the company will begin recruiting for key positions in the Pigeon Forge area.
Missouri-based Drury Hotels’ portfolio currently consists of over 150 hotels across 27 states. Founded in 1973, the family-owned and operated company has hotels under brands such as Drury Inn & Suites, Drury Inn, Drury Plaza Hotel, Pear Tree Inn by Drury and other hotels in the mid-priced hotel segment.
