Hilton is continuing its expansion in France with the forthcoming opening of Sax Paris, the first hotel under its LXR Hotels & Resorts brand in the capital.

A new prestigious venue in Paris

There is no shortage of luxury addresses in the City of Light, which attracts a wealthy international clientele. And a new property of this calibre is due to open this year, the Sax Paris, which will be owned and operated by Compagnie de Phalsbourg.

Housed in a former telephone exchange with a Belle Époque façade, this luxury hotel will offer 118 rooms and suites with panoramic views of the Eiffel Tower.

The Sax Paris is distinguished by its historic architecture and sophisticated design, reflecting the identity of the LXR Hotels & Resorts brand, which brings together high-end independent hotels in iconic destinations.

The hotel will offer an exclusive experience with a library bar on the ground floor, a Japanese restaurant on the top floor and a panoramic rooftop.

A buoyant luxury market

This project is part of a wider dynamic for Hilton in France, which plans to open ten new hotels by 2025, including four in Lyon.

With more than 30 hotels in France and 275 properties under development in Europe, the group is strengthening its competitive position vis-à-vis Accor, its main competitor in the European market.

The opening of Sax Paris also coincides with a growth in hotel demand in Paris, thanks in particular to the 2024 Olympic Games. In particular, Hilton is targeting an American clientele, which is very present among the 20 million members of its loyalty programme.

The arrival of this new hotel will also contribute to the upmarket positioning of Paris’ Left Bank, which until now has been dominated by the Right Bank and the Golden Triangle. With rates ranging from €500 to €2,000 a night, the Sax Paris aims to become a benchmark for luxury in an emblematic area of the capital.

‘Each LXR property is carefully designed to offer a memorable experience that reflects the history and character of its region, and the Sax Paris is no exception with its unique architectural design and beautiful surroundings.’ – David Heijligers, Managing Director of Development for France and Benelux at Hilton
