Pierre & Vacances has expanded its portfolio in Catalonia by integrating two new hotels in Costa Brava: Hotel Port Salins in Empuriabrava and Hotel Pirineos Figueres. These additions bring the company’s presence in the region to 15 properties, the highest number of any Spanish region for the group.

Expansion in Girona province

With these two new properties, Pierre & Vacances reinforces its footprint in the Girona province, where it already operates three establishments.

This move supports the group’s strategy to focus on key tourist destinations within Spain, particularly areas with strong demand like Costa Brava.

Hotel Port Salins – Empuriabrava

Located 400 meters from the beach in Empuriabrava, Hotel Port Salins offers 41 rooms and direct access to the town’s canal network, a feature appealing to visitors interested in nautical tourism. The hotel includes a Mediterranean restaurant, Noray, and a rooftop area.

Previously operated independently by the local company Trinfico, this property becomes the third Pierre & Vacances-managed site in Empuriabrava, alongside Empuriabrava Marina Apartments and Empuriabrava Maurici Park.

Hotel Pirineos Figueres – Central Location

Near the Dalí Museum Hotel Pirineos Figueres, now operating under Pierre & Vacances, is situated in the center of Figueres, near the Dalí Theatre-Museum. The hotel offers 56 rooms and three apartments accommodating up to six guests. It also features the El Pelegrí restaurant, known for its traditional cuisine from the Empordà region.

Previously managed by its owners, the property has been integrated into Pierre & Vacances’ high-end portfolio through a long-term lease facilitated by 3 Capital Real Estate.

Strategic growth in Spain

These additions align with Pierre & Vacances’ broader expansion plan focused on strategic tourist destinations in Spain. While strengthening its position in Costa Brava, the group is also exploring growth opportunities in Costa Blanca, the Balearic Islands, Costa del Sol, and the Canary Islands.

This strategy reflects Pierre & Vacances’ objective to consolidate its presence in high-demand areas by incorporating quality properties into its portfolio, expanding its offering for both domestic and international visitors.
