IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of two new properties in Cascais, Portugal, set to open in the coming years. The Onyria Marinha Cascais, Vignette Collection, and Kimpton Quinta da Marinha Cascais will enhance IHG’s growing portfolio in the region.

Growth in luxury and lifestyle segments

The Onyria Marinha Cascais, Vignette Collection, and Kimpton Quinta da Marinha Cascais will contribute to IHG’s expanding luxury and lifestyle portfolio. The hotels are located in the Quinta da Marinha area, offering views of the Atlantic Ocean and close proximity to Lisbon.

The Onyria Marinha Cascais, with 111 rooms, will feature two restaurants, a bar, and 10 event spaces, alongside leisure facilities including pools, a tennis club, and a wellness spa.

Kimpton Quinta da Marinha Cascais will offer 198 rooms, including 10 suites, and a variety of dining options, a golf course, and family-friendly amenities.

Both hotels will be part of IHG’s luxury and lifestyle offerings, including Vignette Collection, which emphasizes the individuality of each property, and Kimpton, known for its modern approach to hospitality.

A strategic partnership with Grupo Onyria

These properties are developed in collaboration with Grupo Onyria, a leading name in the luxury tourism sector in the Cascais region. The partnership reflects both companies’ commitment to offering distinctive experiences to travelers, combining local cultural heritage with modern amenities and services.

“We’ve worked diligently to build a strong luxury and lifestyle reputation in Portugal in recent years, in order to strengthen our footprint in the country and seize opportunities for growth in secondary markets and popular destinations. This exciting dual branded proposition also sees us bring the beloved Kimpton brand to Cascais and together we will offer guests two distinctive, yet complementary brands from our diverse brand portfolio.” – Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts

“The speed at which luxury hotels can be converted to meet the needs of the modern traveller is one of the key factors that lead to our partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts.” – Joao Pinto Coelho, Chief Commercial Officer, Grupo Onyria

As IHG continues to expand its portfolio, these new openings in Cascais represent a significant step in its ongoing efforts to cater to the growing demand for both luxury and lifestyle hospitality. The region’s proximity to Lisbon and its appeal to both leisure and business travelers makes it a strategic location for IHG’s brands.
