When it comes to travel, there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all destination. Whether you crave cities that don’t sleep or prefer to spend slow mornings with a book at the beach, we all bring our own vibe, and the best trips are the ones that match it.

After all, travel isn’t just about where you go, but how it makes you feel – and finding the perfect place for you just got easier, as

Holiday Extras has launched a brand-new AI-powered tool to create trips paired with holidaymakers personalities.

The Vibe Traveller tool analyses travellers’ ‘vibes’ before identifying locations that will match what they’re looking for.

In an interesting development, the new rollout uses a screenshot of the travellers instagram or the top five songs on their holiday playlist, as well as more traditional methods like selecting holiday moods that resonate with them, to design three ideal destinations and an accompanying itinerary for them.

Designed to take the hassle out of holiday research, the technology takes inspiration from ‘vibe coding’ – a method in which programmers set broad parameters, then allow an AI Large Language Model to build the code and sort out the specifics.

As the leading provider of holiday ancillaries such as travel insurance, transfers, airport parking, lounges and hotels, Holiday Extras said the launch of its new tool couldn’t come at a better time.

It comes as the firm debuted its new AI-powered currency tool with Caxton yesterday.

Allie Ralph, AI creative lead at Holiday Extras and builder of the Vibe Travelling tool, said: “We’ve already seen a huge rise in travellers seeking spontaneous escapes, with many inspired to book on impulse after seeing a location on Instagram.

“We now predict that the next travel trend will be ‘vibe travel’ – a preference for energy-driven destinations, where the atmosphere closely fits a traveller’s mood and aesthetic preferences. That means no more boring ‘box-ticking’ itineraries.

“Our new Vibe Travelling tool makes it easy for holidaymakers to find a destination that’s the perfect match for them, so they have more time to spend on the most important thing – looking forward to the trip.”
