A new landmark for luxury hospitality in Puglia
Minor Hotels has announced the upcoming Tivoli Palazzo Risorgimento Lecce, marking a significant step in the group’s European growth roadmap. The project, developed in collaboration with Gest Resort, will enhance the luxury hospitality offering in southern Italy and reinforce Tivoli Hotels & Resorts’ expanding presence across key Mediterranean destinations.
Located in the heart of Lecce, one of Italy’s most architecturally rich and culturally vibrant cities, the new Tivoli property will merge heritage architecture and contemporary design.
Set within a renovated historic building, the Tivoli Palazzo Risorgimento Lecce will feature rooms and suites, signature dining, a wellness area, and bespoke guest experiences inspired by the art and lifestyle of Puglia. Beyond its architectural revival, the project will act as a catalyst for urban regeneration and upscale tourism in southern Italy.

Strategic growth through partnerships
The new Tivoli property underscores Minor Hotels’ strategic approach to growth in Europe, built on selective partnerships and brand differentiation.
According to Gonzalo Aguilar, CEO of Minor Hotels Europe & Americas:
“With this latest addition, the Minor Hotels portfolio will reach a total of 60 properties in Italy. Set in a truly distinctive location and showcasing a unique style, this hotel will elevate the luxury hospitality offering in Lecce. It seamlessly blends Tivoli’s rich heritage and savoir-faire with the essence of an authentic Puglian escape.”
For Gest Resort, this collaboration represents a strategic move to position Lecce as a preferred destination for high-end travellers.
“We are excited to collaborate with one of the luxury brands from a leading player like Minor Hotels, sharing the ambition to elevate this exceptional property into a landmark destination,” said Marisa Bleve, Head of Gest Resort.

Minor Hotels reinforces its European presence
With this new opening, Minor Hotels continues to expand its footprint across Europe, particularly in markets combining strong cultural identity and long-term tourism potential. The addition of the Tivoli Palazzo Risorgimento Lecce consolidates the group’s commitment to developing its premium and luxury portfolio under the Tivoli, Anantara, and NH Collection brands.
This announcement follows a series of strategic expansions for Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, including its debut in Florence with the Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi and the brand’s strengthened presence in Portugal, where it continues to consolidate its historic roots.
The Tivoli Palazzo Risorgimento Lecce, expected to open in 2026, reaffirms Minor Hotels’ ambition to deliver experience-driven luxury while driving sustainable growth and value creation within Europe’s competitive hospitality landscape.
