According to new research, ChatGPT is the most popular AI travel planning tool among tech-savvy vacationers

Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming an increasingly popular resource for holiday planning among British travelers, according to a recent study conducted by Sainsbury’s Bank Travel Money.

  • The survey of 2,000 UK leisure travelers highlighted ChatGPT as the most widely used AI tool for travel planning, with 45 percent of AI users relying on the platform;
  • Other widely used AI tools for travel planning include Roam Around (27 percent), Guide.com (25 percent), Microsoft Copilot (24 percent), and Out of Office (23 percent);
  • The study also found that adoption of AI for travel planning is particularly strong among younger generations, with nearly half (46 percent) of 18- to 24-year-olds and 43 percent of 25- to 34-year-olds likely to use AI to plan their next vacation.
