PRESS RELEASE: Berlin, October 7, 2024 – The German startup Onsai is proud to announce the launch of its groundbreaking AI-driven voice solution, which is set to transform operational efficiency in the hospitality sector. Onsai Voice, an advanced AI-powered phone bot, automates over 60% of incoming calls, enabling hotels to offer intelligent 24/7 guest communication.

Onsai’s AI assistant goes beyond merely handling standard inquiries. Through deep integration with Property Management Systems (PMS), telephone networks, and other hotel infrastructure, Onsai Voice autonomously manages complex tasks, such as taking reservations.

“Our mission is to significantly enhance operational efficiency in hotels while simultaneously improving the guest experience,” explains Jochen Emig, CEO and co-founder of Onsai. “With Onsai Voice, hotels can provide round-the-clock service without the need for additional personnel. Meanwhile, staff gain valuable time to focus on higher-value tasks and personalized guest interactions on-site. It’s not just a cost-saving measure but a major improvement in time management and productivity,” adds COO Ralf Bonin.

The technology behind Onsai Voice is built on multiple proprietary AI models, specifically trained using real conversation data from the hospitality industry. This proprietary approach ensures that Onsai can guarantee full GDPR compliance. Furthermore, the AI models are continuously refined based on interactions, ensuring optimal results.

Onsai has already seen significant success with early adopters. Dominik Klein, CEO of McDreams Hotels, shares: “Onsai has provided tremendous benefits for McDreams Hotels. Since becoming a pilot customer in February 2024, we’ve automated over 60% of our calls and optimized our reservation process. This has resulted in significant cost reductions, increased efficiency, and 24/7 availability with a high standard of information quality. It’s truly a game-changer for us.”

Alongside McDreams Hotels, Onsai has also secured apartment provider HOMARIS as a customer, showcasing the versatility of the solution across different segments of the hospitality industry.

The founding team at Onsai brings together a wealth of expertise in both AI development and the hospitality sector. Jochen Emig, CEO and AI expert, is a Harvard University graduate specializing in Machine Learning. As a former Google Developer Expert, he has led projects for major corporations like Telekom and BMW through his AI agency, which he founded in 2016.

Ralf Bonin, COO, has extensive experience in the hospitality industry as a former operational manager of a hotel group. He played a key role in the digital transformation of his previous employers and has been recognized for his innovative HR concepts.

Christian Müller, CPO, has a deep background in hotel software implementation. He recently led the complete redesign of the system landscape at Schani Hotels, driving their digital transformation.

Tobias Koehler, CCO, brings years of leadership experience in hotel groups, where he was responsible for commercial operations and hotel systems. Through his Hotel Tech consultancy, he has supported hotels and hotel groups in their digital transformation initiatives.

“Our team brings together top experts in both AI development and hospitality,” says Jochen Emig. “We not only understand the technology but also have a deep knowledge of the daily challenges hotels face. This combination allows us to create solutions that are truly practical and deliver immediate value for hotels and their guests,” adds Christian Müller.

With the launch of Onsai Voice, the startup is ushering in a new era of intelligent guest interaction, combining operational efficiency, cost savings, and enhanced service. The solution integrates seamlessly with existing hotel systems, providing instant value for both hotel operators and their guests.
