InterLnkd partnership sees PLAY become the first to roll out functionality

PLAY airlines has partnered with InterLnkd to launch an AI-powered pre-travel shopping platform that will offer travellers a curated selection of fashion, beauty and essential products.

The collaboration sees PLAY become the first airline to roll out the functionality in North America, providing US customers access to brands including Bloomingdale’s and CVS.

The platform will integrate into PLAY’s post-booking process, enabling the airline to earn a cost-free incremental revenue stream from its customers’ vacation purchases.

In Europe, travellers will be able to browse a range of products from high-end labels to household names including Marks & Spencer, WHSmith, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, and Asos.

Sonja Arnórsdóttir, Chief Commercial Officer of PLAY airlines, said: “Our new e-commerce platform will bring a new level of convenience to our passengers.

“Being the first airline to offer this service to US customers underscores our commitment to innovation and enhancing the travel experience. We’re confident this new feature will add real value to travellers looking to stock up on vacation essentials before heading to Iceland or across the Atlantic.”

Barry Klipp, CEO of InterLnkd, added: “Our collaboration with PLAY airlines marks a major step for InterLnkd, as their passengers will be among the first in North America to benefit from our curated shopping experience.
