Blending art, culture, and world class dining, The Ned Doha is the ultimate urban retreat, located on Doha’s stunning Corniche.Within two short years, The Ned Doha has established itself as one of Qatar’s premier hospitality destinations. Located in the historic former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha blends 1970s glamour with art gallery-like spaces, a range of popular dining outlets, and world-class hospitality.

As the third Ned Hotel and Members’ Club and the first in the Middle East, it upholds the brand’s legacy of sophistication, welcoming guests from across the city and the globe to join in celebrating its second anniversary.

Managing Director of The Ned Doha, Mr. Max Binda said the hotel had, in just two short years, embedded itself in the imagination and everyday life of Doha. “Being such a unique property, we are thrilled with how the hotel has been embraced and how it has developed into a hub of elegance, exceptional service, culture and community,” Mr. Binda said. “As we enter our third year, we have honed and enhanced our culinary, entertainment, and cultural offerings to ensure we continue to be at the centre of  thriving and exciting city of Doha.”

The Ned Doha: A Mid-Century Masterpiece

Spanning five floors, the hotel boasts stunning views of the Arabian Gulf and Doha’s glittering skyline. Like the city itself, the hotel seamlessly blends heritage with modernity. Originally designed in the 1960s by Lebanese architect William Sednaoui, the building’s striking style has been thoughtfully reimagined by David Chipperfield Architects Berlin, with interiors by Soho House Design. Complete with 90 bedrooms, seven restaurants, an outdoor pool and private club lounge, a health club with spa and gym, and a 1800-square-metre event space, each element adds a new layer to the property’s unique character.

The chic décor is a nod to 1970s glamour, featuring terrazzo flooring, silk drapery, and velvet furniture upholstery, creating a warm yet opulent atmosphere. Continuing to the bedrooms, ranging from Cosy to Large, the furnishings draw from the same retro inspiration, all offering balconies that frame sweeping views of the city or the sea. Original coffered concrete ceilings have been carefully restored in many rooms, staying true to the building’s architectural legacy.

Unwind and Relax at the City’s Chicest Address

The Ned’s Club Spa, which is open to all guests, is a place to unwind, complete with complimentary use of the sauna and steam room, four treatment rooms, and a traditional Moroccan hammam. Meanwhile, the glamourous outdoor swimming pool is lined with day beds and private cabana-like spaces, perfect for soaking up some sun and relaxing.

Setting the Agenda for Culinary Excellence in Doha

At the heart The Ned’s culinary offerings is Cecconi’s, serving authentic Northern Italian cuisine, which was awarded the prestigious Italian Fine Dining Award just six months after its opening. This November, Cecconi’s welcomes the celebrated Chef Chicco Cerea from the 3-Michelin-starred Da Vittorio restaurant for an exclusive gastronomic evening of bespoke dishes, continuing the restaurant’s mission of offering guests unforgettable culinary experiences.

Adding to the selection of dining offerings, located on the ground floor of the hotel, Kaia  celebrates the unique flavours of Pan-Asian cuisine, including sushi, poke bowls, and robata-grilled delights. For a more laid-back experience, Electric Diner offers classic American comfort food while Nickel Lounge on the ground floor provides a cosy spot for enjoying signature drinks, with a backdrop of live performances and right next to Millie’s, the hotel’s popular international brasserie. For those who prefer al fresco dining, Hadika serves Levantine favourites alongside the poolside Malibu Kitchen, bringing the fresh, relaxed vibes of California to Doha.

A Cultural Tapestry Woven Into Modernist Architecture

The building itself is a modernist masterpiece, with its grids, structures, nooks, waffle ceilings, and textures creating the perfect space for artists to display their works. The Ned Doha proudly showcases a rich collection of original works from 100 talented artists, with over half of them hailing from Doha and a significant majority being female. Curated by Wadha Al-Aqeedi and Elina Sairanen, co-founders of Mathqaf Arab Museum of Modern Art, the collection currently spans more than 350 pieces across diverse mediums such as textiles, paintings, and sculptures.

Network at The Ned’s Club

While The Ned Doha’s art collection and diverse restaurants are open to all guests, those seeking a more exclusive touch can explore the benefits of the Ned’s Club membership. This membership provides access to private spaces across all Ned properties where like-minded professionals can connect, relax, and enjoy exclusive perks. At The Ned Doha, members can enjoy access to Ned’s Club Upstairs, a stylish rooftop lounge, complete with a dedicated restaurant and terrace for dining and socialising.
