Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), the Atlanta-based hotel operator and investor, has expanded its development, project management and advisory services to third-party hotel owners and operators with the launch of Elevate Renovations + Development. The new firm is a management and asset lifecycle services provider that caters to the needs of the hospitality industry.

HVMG has managed development and renovation projects for over 65 hotels in its owned and operated portfolio over the past 20 years. According to Robert Cole, founder, president and CEO of HVMG, growing demand from external owners and operators led to the decision to launch Elevate as a stand-alone service.

“Recently, however, we began expanding our scope and started working with owners and operators beyond our managed portfolio who saw the value that HVMG was able to create and wanted to enjoy similar results themselves,” said Cole. “While we will continue to provide these services to our own hotels, Elevate Renovations + Development is officially now open for business for the entire hospitality industry.”

Elevate Renovations + Development is a management and asset lifecycle services provider that caters to the needs of the hospitality industry.

Elevate provides a range of flexible solutions for hotel owners on individual, short-term projects as well as serve as a long-term partner for the hotel owners for their investments to bring hotel-specific development and renovation expertise and knowledge. The firm offers a range of services, from pre-purchase due diligence to property disposition.

The Darwin Hotel

One of Elevate’s recent projects includes the $19.6 million renovation and rebranding of The Darwin Hotel, now part of IHG’s voco brand portfolio. The project, led by Chief Elevation Officer Suzanne Saunders, covered all aspects of project management, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction oversight and pre-opening services.

Despite beginning during COVID-19, the project was completed within nine months. The hotel’s redesign earned two Gold Key Awards from Boutique Design in 2023 for Lobby and Guest Room design.

With Elevate now operating as a separate entity, HVMG aims to expand its impact in the hospitality sector by offering hotel-specific renovation and development expertise to a broader market.
