Cycas Hospitality has reinforced its expansion strategy with the appointment of Naël El Assaad as Development Director. This key addition to the in-house team underscores Cycas’ commitment to accelerating growth across its core markets.

A strong background in hospitality and real estate development

Bringing extensive expertise in hospitality and real estate development, Naël El Assaad has played a crucial role in major projects across France. His experience includes leadership positions at Knight Frank, Groupe Châteauform’, and LWS Hospitality, where he was instrumental in securing the recently signed Voco by IHG hotel in Angers.

Additionally, he has driven the expansion of CAP’ETUDES student housing over the past four years and was behind the launch of the aparthotel brand LIVE&CO.

Expanding Cycas Hospitality’s presence in key markets

In his new role, Naël will focus on accelerating Cycas Hospitality’s expansion by identifying new management opportunities and strengthening strategic partnerships across Europe. His financial acumen, investment strategy expertise, and extensive industry network will be instrumental in driving growth.

With an MBA in International Hospitality Management from ESSEC Business School (IMHI), Naël is well-equipped to facilitate international collaborations and reinforce Cycas’ presence in competitive hospitality markets.

Leadership perspectives on the appointment

Craig Patterson, Chief Development Officer at Cycas Hospitality, expressed enthusiasm for the appointment, stating:

Luxury hotels are more expensive than ever to build. It doesn’t mean they aren’t getting done.

“Welcoming Naël to our team is an exciting step in Cycas’ growth journey. His expertise in financial analysis, hospitality investment strategy, and operational execution adds depth to our development team. As we continue to expand across France and mainland Europe, Naël’s innovative approach will give us a strategic advantage in navigating an increasingly competitive landscape.”

For Naël El Assaad, joining Cycas represents a pivotal opportunity to contribute to the company’s expansion plans:

“I am thrilled to be part of Cycas Hospitality at such a dynamic phase of its growth. This role allows me to actively shape the company’s future and strengthen its position as a leader in hospitality management. I look forward to collaborating with our investors, owners, and brand partners, particularly at MIPIM in Cannes later this month.”

A strategic move for Cycas Hospitality’s growth

This latest appointment aligns with Cycas Hospitality’s long-term strategy of reinforcing its expertise in hotel management, investment, and development. With a rapidly expanding portfolio across France and Europe, the company is positioning itself for sustained growth in an evolving hospitality landscape.

With Naël El Assaad’s appointment, Cycas is set to enhance its market presence, strategic partnerships, and development pipeline, further cementing its reputation as a key player in hospitality management and investment across Europe.
