Anacove, the pioneering developer of AI-enabled, cloud connected energy management solutions for the global hotel industry, today announced the formal market introduction of its Anacove Smart Thermostat as part of a complete line of energy management solutions that also include Anacove Staff Safety Alerts, Toilet Leak Detectors, and Asset Tracking Services.

In tests with leading hotels for the last two years, including IHG Hotels, who have designated Anacove a preferred vendor, Anacove Smart Thermostats are now available to every hotel owner-operator who wants to minimize their energy costs while maximizing the comfort level of their guests.

“Until now, hotel owner-operators have been forced to make trade-offs between energy management and guest comfort,” explained Anacove, CEO Ian Lerner. “The challenge of balancing the effective use of energy without negatively affecting the comfort of their guests has resulted in inefficient choices that end up costing owner-operators a lot of money. Now, with Anacove Smart Thermostats, hotel owner-operators have total control over the entire spectrum of energy management in ways that ensure maximum guest comfort and maximum energy cost savings.”

Designed and engineered for 21st century energy management, Anacove Smart Thermostats are innovative IoT devices with advanced sensors that monitor temperature, humidity, air quality, and guest presence. These devices seamlessly integrate with a hotel’s HVAC system through its existing Wi-Fi infrastructure, allowing for centralized control throughout the hotel. This enables continuous optimization of each room, regardless of occupancy status, leading to immediate and sustained cost savings. Unlike other occupancy-sensing thermostats, Anacove Smart Thermostats actively manage energy even when guests are asleep or have left their pet in the room.

Unprecedented Centralized Management:

The plug-and-play system can be set up by the hotel’s maintenance team or independent contractors without the need for additional wiring. Virtually maintenance-free, the system is updated via the Internet. The solution solves the unique challenges of hotel owners by bringing immediate value through energy optimization, while enabling ongoing, long term data-driven improvements. It orchestrates HVAC systems across the property to avoid system-wide inefficiencies such as peak consumption charges, while ensuring guest comfort. It simplifies integration, including combining data sources, while offering an easy-to-read dashboard that improves hotel and resource management.

Leads to Maximum Individual Comfort:

With Anacove Smart Thermostats installed in the room, guests never enter a room that’s too hot or too cold. The thermostat operates at pre-set temperature ranges that provide guests with a positive, welcome experience from the moment they open the door. It ensures guests enjoy their stay by making temperature and air quality a non-issue through optimized performance. It allows guests to easily control the room‘s temperature, reducing if not eliminating help calls to the front desk or maintenance staff. Anacove combines experience, proprietary algorithms and machine-learning powered insights to constantly upgrade the guest experience and improve energy efficiency.

“Anacove Smart Thermostats offer a comprehensive hotel-wide strategy for savings that can reduce HVAC energy usage by as much as 50%, all while maintaining the highest level of comfort for guests,” Lerner emphasized. “The Anacove AI cloud and our smart thermostats provide hoteliers the power to achieve unparalleled cost savings.”

A Complete Portfolio of Solutions Provides Maximum Control to Hotels:

Complementing the Anacove Smart Thermostat, the Anacove Staff Safety Alert enables hotel staff to request immediate help anywhere on the property, while the Anacove Toilet Leak Detector identifies leaks to reduce water bills. Additionally, the Anacove Asset Tracking identifies the location of luggage carts and other items for rapid retrieval.

Anacove’s devices, systems, and services increase guest comfort as well as reduce energy and water expenses. Hotel owners and operators who deploy Anacove’s Thermostat typically gain a positive return on investment within 12 months, and in communities with high energy rates, this payback period is often six months or less.

“The bottom line is that Anacove Smart Thermostats, Anacove Staff Safety Alert, Anacove Toilet Leak Detection, and Anacove Asset Tracking devices, systems, and services can help hotels save money by cutting energy, water, and labor costs – which total more than $2 billion a year on average in the United States,” Lerner emphasized.
