At MURTEC 2025 Experience Matters, Hospitality Technology senior editor of restaurants caught up with Niko Papademetriou, Co-Founder and SVP,  Qu, to learn what’s new for the unified commerce platform, what challenges the restaurant industry is facing,  trends and more. 

Data and AI wre two hot topics of conversation at the 30th anniversary MURTEC.  One of Qu’s points of difference is its foundataional data layer.  “When you have a singular foundational data layer, that data is actionable for AI!”  saysPapademetriou., in the video interview linked above.  “…We think AI and our foundational platform are going to be a significant innovator and differentiator.”   7:30

Qu’s slogan is “beyond POS”; it is a unified data commerce platform for mid-market and enterprise restaurant brands, specifically geared towards fast casual restaurants and quick-service chains. Qu focuses on the commerce side of the business. Or as Papademetriou says, “We focus on take, make and serve the order.”
