Jackson, MS – MMI Hotel Group (MMI), a leading operator of core, lifestyle, and destination hotels and resorts located primarily in the Southeast United States, has announced its assumption of management responsibilities for two Wyndham Hotels & Resorts® properties in Texas. This strategic expansion strengthens MMI’s growing footprint in the Texas market and further deepens its relationship with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts®, one of the world’s largest hotel franchisors.
The newly managed properties include an AmericInn by Wyndham in San Angelo and a dual-branded La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Pflugerville and Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham in Pflugerville. These additions bring MMI’s operational expertise to key submarkets in Texas and align with the company’s commitment to driving performance across traditional, lifestyle, and extended-stay hotel segments.
MMI’s ability to optimize asset performance through dynamic revenue management, disciplined cost control, and market-responsive strategy has fueled our steady growth. These new properties reflect our ongoing commitment to identifying high-potential opportunities and maximizing value for owners, guests, and brand partners. Dominic Buompastore, Vice President of Operations for MMI Hotel Group
Each property serves a unique niche within its local market. The Pflugerville hotel represents a first-of-its-kind dual-branded concept in the area, meeting the needs of both short- and long-term guests. Conveniently located off I-35 just outside Austin, the Pflugerville hotel features 103 well-appointed guest rooms and suites, complimentary breakfast, a fitness center, meeting space, and a standout outdoor pool with a giant Texas Star and fire pit. Guests also enjoy a vibrant Lobby Market showcasing Texas-made products.
The AmericInn in San Angelo offers reliable accommodations for business and leisure travelers in a community that continues to experience economic and industrial development. The AmericInn features 84 comfortable rooms near Goodfellow Air Force Base and Angelo State University, with similar amenities, including complimentary breakfast, a fitness center, a business center, a Lobby Market, and a fire pit by the outdoor pool.
The properties are owned by Texas-based developers Mike Forrest and Brett Emerson, who selected MMI Hotel Group as their management partner to steward the hotels through their next phase of growth.
These hotels were designed with long-term community impact in mind,
said Emerson. MMI brings a level of operational insight, especially in revenue strategy and guest experience, that aligns perfectly with our vision.
MMI Hotel Group will oversee day-to-day operations, revenue management, sales and marketing, and guest satisfaction initiatives at all three properties. These additions mark a strategic step in MMI Hotel Group’s growth beyond its Southeastern roots and highlight its proven ability to generate results in varied markets while deepening its partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
