Dorint Hotel Group has appointed Jens Schmitz as the new Vice President of Marketing, effective April 1, 2025. With a strong focus on digital marketing and brand strategy, Schmitz will oversee marketing efforts across Dorint’s three brands: Dorint Hotels & Resorts, Hommage Luxury Hotels Collection, and Essential by Dorint.

Strategic focus on brand growth and Innovation

Jens Schmitz brings over 15 years of experience in senior marketing roles to Dorint, particularly in the areas of data-driven strategies, eCommerce, and omnichannel marketing. His appointment is seen as a key step towards enhancing the group’s marketing approach and increasing brand visibility across its diverse portfolio. 

“We are delighted to have Jens Schmitz, a highly experienced marketing expert, join our team and assume this important key position with immediate effect,” – Jörg T. Böckeler, CEO of Dorint Hotel Group.

In his new role, Schmitz will focus on driving the marketing strategies for Dorint’s brands, aiming to strengthen their market presence and enhance customer engagement. 

“I am excited to be working with my team to further expand the brand awareness of the Dorint Hotel Group. With innovative, tailored marketing strategies, we will sustainably strengthen the Dorint brand and further consolidate its position in the market,” Jens Schmitz, Vice President of Marketing of Dorint Hotel Group.

A well-rounded career in marketing and tourism

Schmitz’s career spans across media, fashion, and tourism sectors. He has held senior positions in prominent companies such as RTL Deutschland and HRS GmbH, where he developed a deep understanding of brand strategy and market analytics. His experience in these industries positions him well to lead Dorint’s marketing initiatives in an increasingly digital landscape.

“With his expertise in digital marketing, eCommerce, and the development of omnichannel strategies will take our brand presence to a new level,” – Stefanie Brandes, COO of Dorint Hotel Group, who oversees both operations and marketing.
