Meliá Hotels International has reopened the Meliá Costa Atlantis in Puerto de la Cruz, northern Tenerife, after a comprehensive renovation led by Atom Hoteles Socimi with an investment of approximately €4 million.
The property, previously operating under the Sol brand, now integrates Meliá Hotels & Resorts’ brand standards and services.
Located opposite Martiánez beach, the hotel offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Mount Teide. It features 290 rooms, including 80 in the upgraded The Level category, designed to provide privacy and personalized service with access to exclusive lounges and separate check-in areas. The hotel also includes two presidential suites.
The renovated facilities encompass six meeting rooms with a capacity of up to 500 attendees, supporting various event formats such as conferences and social gatherings. Leisure amenities include two outdoor swimming pools—one for adults and another for children—set amid garden areas, along with a sunbathing zone equipped with loungers and Balinese beds.
The hotel’s dining venues consist of the Rumba restaurant, offering an international buffet with local and global cuisine; the Boreal Lobby Bar with terraces overlooking the ocean; and the O’lula Pool Bar adjacent to the pool area.
A notable addition is the YHI Spa located on the 14th floor beneath a glass dome, providing a hydrothermal circuit that includes water jets, microbubble beds, a whirlpool, sauna, Turkish bath, and ice fountain. The spa is designed to promote holistic wellness complemented by views of the sea and volcano.
