Booking Engine Product update1) SwiftBook – Pay Later

What’s new?

  • Properties can now set ‘Pay Later’ as the default payment option for eligible packages.
  • Applies to packages that offer both ‘Pay Now’ and ‘Pay Later’ choices.
  • By default, ‘Pay Now’ will remain the system default unless changed.

2) SwiftBook – Flexible Fees

  • Introducing Flexible Fee Configuration for properties via the Booking Engine module.
  • Two fee types are now available:
    • Percentage-based – Calculate the fee as a percentage of the total booking amount.
    • Fixed amount – Apply a flat fee regardless of the booking value.
  • Where to configure:
    • Navigate to Booking Engine > Settings > Fees to set up your preferred fee structure.
  • How it works:
    • The fee is calculated based on the total room amount, including Room, Add-ons, Room Fees, and Taxes.
    • The booking fee is only displayed at the cart level during the booking flow.

3) SwiftBook – Abandoned Cart Re-Targeting

SwiftBook now supports Abandoned Cart Re-Targeting to help you recover lost bookings and increase user experience. Here’s what’s new:

  • Welcome Back Experience
    • Bookers returning after abandoning a booking will see a “Welcome Back” message inviting them to resume where they left off – if cookies were accepted.
  • Smooth Continuation
    • All previously entered data (room selection, dates, guest details, add-ons) is retained and auto-filled for a smooth continuation.
  • 30-Day Cookie Window
    • Session data is preserved for up to 30 days. Bookers returning within this period will trigger the re-targeting flow.
  • Cookie Consent Required
    • Accept Cookies: Enables session saving and personalized messages
    • Reject/Close: No data saved, normal booking flow
    • Consent Duration: Lasts 400 days once accepted
  • Personalization
    • If the booker entered their name, the Welcome Back message is personalized.
  • Booking Scenarios Handled
    • Booking Still Available: Booker resumes from where they left off

    • Room/Date Unavailable: Message prompts a new search; previous search dates auto-filled

    • Partial Availability: Booker adjusts their selection as needed
    • Date Passed: Booking starts from current date
    • Previous Booking Completed: Still gets a welcome message
  • Not Supported On:
    • Booking Engine in an iFrame
    • Group Booking Engine
    • Auto-Enabled for Eligible Users
      • This feature is automatically turned on for all eligible SwiftBook customers.
    • Opt-Out Available
      • Customers can disable the feature via: Booking Engine > BE Settings

1) Feature: Horizontal Calendar In Accommodation Pages and Calendar Widget

What’s new?

We’ve introduced two exciting enhancements to improve booking visibility and user experience:

a) Horizontal Calendar on Room Details Page

Guests can now view availability more intuitively with a horizontal date selection widget directly on the accommodation (room) pages.

b) Dynamic Widget on Homepage

The homepage will now display the default calendar widget as configured in the Widget Builder, offering more flexibility and personalisation. This replaces the previously fixed widget setup.
