Leading budget hotel chain Travelodge has partnered with travel technology platform Katanox to give Travel Management Companies (TMCs) better access to the hotel brand’s 47,000+ rooms across more than 600 hotels in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Spain.

Katanox’s integration allows TMCs to amend bookings directly for the first time, including changing dates. The connectivity also enables Travelodge to display more rooms and rates, showcasing richer content with visuals and descriptions, giving TMCs increased options and visibility.

The platform will also widen Travelodge’s distribution options meaning the hotel chain can connect with many more TMCs and therefore corporate clients.

The partnership integrates Travelodge’s back-end payment, booking and connectivity functions, creating a smoother booking experience for TMC users booking Travelodge rooms.

Navan is the first TMC to gain access to Travelodge content via the new integration with Katanox, benefiting from new rate plans, amendable bookings, and other improvements to Travelodge content for its customers.

Nick Jacobs, Sales Director at Travelodge, said: “Our partnership with Katanox means we can significantly extend our reach to more TMCS and provide our business customers with an even better experience and greater choice of options.

“By using Katanox’s technology, we can ensure that TMCs see the latest and most up-to-date content on our hotels and have a smoother and easier user experience, making us even more competitive in the market.”

Paul Beukers, CCO & Co-founder, Katanox, said: “We’re well-positioned to grow together in the UK and beyond, making payments more efficient, as Travelodge expands the depth and scope of its accommodation offerings.”

Micheal Riegel, CEO, EMEA, Navan, added: “We’re committed to giving customers complete access to inventory, no matter where it comes from.

“Our customers want the best available rates and maximum flexibility when booking hotel rooms. This partnership with Travelodge, powered by Katanox, helps us deliver exactly that.”
