Hilton has surpassed 500 open hotels across Florida, marking a major milestone driven by the group’s multi-brand strategy and expanded lifestyle portfolio. The company has nearly doubled its presence in the state over the past decade and now maintains a pipeline of nearly 140 additional properties.
“Florida has long been a cornerstone for leisure travel and surpassing 500 hotels across the state marks a pivotal moment in Hilton’s journey here,” said John Koshivos, VP & MD of development for the Southeast U.S., Hilton.
Hilton’s lifestyle brands—including Curio Collection by Hilton, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Canopy by Hilton and Tempo by Hilton—have played a key role in the company’s Florida expansion. The first Tempo by Hilton hotels in the state are planned for Pensacola, St. Petersburg and Fort Myers. Additional Canopy by Hilton properties are set to open in Miami’s Brickell area and in Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas, adding to the existing location in West Palm Beach.
Tapestry Collection by Hilton is also set to double its Florida presence, with new developments planned in St. Augustine, Fernandina Beach and Daytona Beach. These properties are described as being “intentionally designed to reflect the local culture and surroundings.”
Recent lifestyle additions to Hilton’s Florida portfolio include: THesis Hotel Miami Coral Gables, Curio Collection by Hilton, The Hiatus Clearwater Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton, Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club Marathon, Curio Collection by Hilton, Castillo Real St. Augustine Beach and Tapestry Collection by Hilton.
Hilton first entered Florida in 1982 and now operates 17 brands across the state. The company’s overall portfolio includes recent openings such as Hampton Inn St. Augustine Downtown Historic District, Tru by Hilton Panama City Beach, Spark by Hilton Tampa Brandon and Conrad Orlando.
Hilton’s development pipeline in Florida includes high-profile luxury projects like Waldorf Astoria Miami, Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort and Hilton Miami Bayfront. The company said its ongoing expansion reflects “strong demand, diverse travel markets and strategic development opportunities” throughout the state.
