USA, Dallas, Texas.
July 24, 2025

Grand Hyatt DFW Airport, the premier hotel conveniently located inside Terminal D at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), announces a full-hotel renovation of the property beginning in July 2025, with completion expected in late 2025.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary in July, the property transformation will kick off a multi-phased renovation which will include updates to the hotel’s lavish guestrooms and suites, improvements to the expansive event spaces, enhancements to the restaurants and bars, and re-envisioned lobby, guest lounges and corridors throughout the property. All phases are anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025.

“We are thrilled to announce Grand Hyatt DFW will undergo a transformation to provide international and domestic travelers and local residents with new, more refined accommodations, enhanced culinary experiences, and modernized conference and event spaces for meetings and groups,” said Jeff Babcock, general manager of Grand Hyatt DFW Airport. “In honor of our 20th year, the renovation will reinforce the hotel’s legacy as the premier hotel and event center supporting the international airport and connecting travelers to the Dallas Fort Worth culture and community.”

“We are excited that the Grand Hyatt DFW is embarking on this extensive renovation project, which will elevate the guest experience and provide unparalleled comfort and convenience for our customers,” said Sean Donohue, DFW’s chief executive officer. “The remodeled Grand Hyatt – already known as one of the premier airport hotel experiences – will complement the ongoing enhancements and expansions across the airport as we create a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests.”

DFW is designed to incorporate the geographical link between Dallas and Fort Worth, uniting the two cities. The continued expansion of the airport with the construction of Terminal F, along with the new hotel renovation, reflect the tie between the two cities and a hub for domestic and international travelers. Similar to the airport, the hotel renovation will feature the history of aviation, the property’s Texas heritage, the latest technologies, and the luxurious amenities of which Grand Hyatt properties are known for by travelers worldwide.

Accommodations

In the initial phase of the renovation, the property will increase the number of guestrooms and suites from 298 to 315, accommodating the needs of travelers and guests. The renovation will reflect an aeronautical design that is complemented by the style of a Texas landscape featuring local woods like Red River Pecan and Yellow Pine that offer a sophisticated look and feel to the guestroom experience.

Rooms will be accented by a color palette that includes subdued greens and shades of natural blues showcasing the colors of the western prairie. The comfortable Grand Hyatt beds will be complemented by stitched leather headboards and integrated lighting – providing a relaxing ambience for guests. Each guest room and suite will incorporate the latest state-of-the-art technologies, including large HD flat screen televisions and new charging ports. Guests will be able to customize their guestroom or suite through its integrated technologies and systems, including eco-friendly occupancy thermostats enhanced lighting controls, and automatic blackout sheers and shades. The accommodations will include expansive closets and modern bathrooms with enlarged vanities, showers and tubs. The guestrooms and suites will maintain their remarkable views of DFW.

Restaurants and Lounges

A reimagined Grand Met restaurant and lounge will showcase a new style in dining at the airport, and its refreshed seasonal menus will offer new culinary experiences for guests and travelers alike. The new concept celebrates artisanal traditions combined with the vibrancy of modern upscale dining at the signature restaurant. In addition to increased seating capacity at the restaurant and the elegant lounge bar, the newly designed private and semiprivate dining rooms will be available for large and small parties that will offer a level of sophistication for an enhanced gastronomic experience. The modernized tables and chairs will accent the dining area while the acoustical designed ceiling will keep conversations private without losing the ambience and vibrancy of the luxurious dining experience. Keeping with the elegance of a jet-set lifestyle, the updated menu will serve international and modern cuisine with fresh ingredients sourced locally – creating a dining experience like no other.

Meetings and Events

With more than 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 6,600 square foot ballroom, the final phase will unveil a brand new a top-floor executive boardroom, and a one-of-a-kind indoor/outdoor rooftop event space overlooking the exhilarating airport runways. Grand Hyatt DFW Airport is a leading conference destination and event center at DFW and around the area. The renovation will include state-of-the-art technical facilities for corporate meetings and gatherings of all sizes, elegant events and sophisticated celebrations. It also provides in-house audiovisual support for all types of events and the redesign incorporates the style of Texas and the beauty of the West. The stunning and expansive views of the new indoor/outdoor rooftop event space combined with award-winning service will set the stage for unforgettable, one-of-a-kind gatherings at the property.

Lobby, Corridors and Pool

Steps away from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)’s checkpoint in Terminal D, the newly envisioned hotel lobby will include marble tile flooring and specially-designed ceiling finishes with enhanced accent lighting. Incorporating an aeronautical design, the rich wooden paneling and artwork created by local artists offer guests a jetsetter experience upon arrival and departure at the property. Its new corridors connect the international airport with the hotel. The hallways will offer guests the comfort of a plush carpet with a pattern inspired by the airport’s design and airline flight movements, accented with warm colors of blues and browns. The newly transformed state-of-the-art fitness center, including Pelotons bicycles, will be located on the first floor to accommodate guests’ health and fitness needs. Guests will continue to benefit from an outdoor rooftop pool overlooking the runways of the airport.
