Meriwether Companies and Springboard Hospitality announced the opening of Guesthouse, Hotel at La Valle, a 77-room boutique hotel within La Valle Coastal Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. The property follows a $15-million renovation led by San Diego-based Hannah Gabriel Wells and offers guests access to the Club’s private amenities as part of the $35 million transformation of La Valle Coastal Club.
“We’re eager to welcome guests to Guesthouse and to be part of the exciting transformation at La Valle Coastal Club,” said Fernando Fry, general manager. “This property was designed to reflect the relaxed luxury and natural beauty of Rancho Santa Fe, while offering an experience that feels both elevated and effortless. Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway, business trip or wellness retreat, we look forward to creating unforgettable stays rooted in comfort, connection and community.”
Guesthouse interiors draw on the serene beauty of North County San Diego. Light wood tones, soft neutral palettes and organic textures create a calming atmosphere, while woven wall art, modern sconces and nature-inspired patterns add warmth. Spacious layouts include plush beds, sitting areas, contemporary furnishings and curated local artwork. Vivid blues, lush greens and sand tones are paired with clean architectural lines, warm wood textures and coastal-inspired details.
The hotel is central to the $35 million transformation of La Valle Coastal Club, formerly Morgan Run, a 200-acre retreat three miles from Del Mar beaches. The Club has added eight tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, two private padel courts and 18 holes on the championship golf course. Renovations are underway on the remaining nine holes, including a new short game area and expanded driving range, expected to be completed this fall. The group exercise revamp is complete, followed by new gym equipment upgrades. Construction on the spa and hydrotherapy circuit is underway, including infrared and dry saunas and cold plunge areas. Clubhouse upgrades are also in progress, covering the entry, restaurant and event spaces. A new swimming pool is planned for the fall.
“Guesthouse at La Valle represents exactly the kind of thoughtful, experience-driven property we’re proud to bring to life,” said Rob Robinson, president of Springboard Hospitality. “By combining boutique accommodations with exclusive access to one of Southern California’s most dynamic private clubs, we’re creating a destination that’s both aspirational and welcoming. It’s a place where guests can relax, recharge and immerse themselves in everything North County San Diego has to offer.”
Guests have exclusive access to La Valle Coastal Club’s pool, racquet sports facilities, fitness center and social putting green, along with complimentary parking and the upcoming hydrotherapy circuit. Additional experiences, for a fee, include spa treatments, semi-private Pilates sessions, group fitness classes and tee times on the championship golf course.
Guesthouse launched a limited-time Grand Opening Package offering 20% off a minimum two-night stay and a $100 La Valle Coastal Club credit usable for dining, golf, merchandise and more, providing early guests a full experience of the reimagined resort and amenities.
