Maybourne has appointed Charlie Walsh as its global head of residential sales. Working alongside global head of business development, Angelo Maccaferri, and led by Maybourne COO Roland Fasel, Walsh will oversee the residential sales strategy across Maybourne’s expansion of its hotel and residential portfolio in this newly created position.
“I’m delighted to join Maybourne at an extremely exciting time,” said Walsh. “Bringing a centuries-old legacy of discreet luxury whilst innovating for tomorrow’s ultra-high-net-worth buyers, Maybourne is bringing the values, exceptional service and unparalleled amenities that define its hotels to create an ultra-luxury residential product that hasn’t been seen before. I’m looking forward to growing Maybourne’s global community of residents who seek the pinnacle of luxury living.”
Walsh brings a wealth of hospitality experience in the branded residences sector to his new role. Before this role, he was the head of residential sales & marketing for London-based development management company Westminster Development Services. He also spent half a decade with Lodha Group UK, heading up sales and marketing and spearheading the launch of the Indian business in London with several luxury developments. In addition, Walsh led the international department at Savills from 2012 to 2016 and served as associate director for Colliers International.
“Charlie joins our team at a pivotal time for Maybourne as we continue our plan to open over a dozen hotels and residences in the next 10 years. His in-depth knowledge and specialised experience of the international luxury residential market will be an instrumental part of this growth, as we work together to nurture our existing client base and increase awareness of the unparalleled Maybourne lifestyle we are offering to new audiences,” said Fasel.
One of Walsh’s first responsibilities will be to drive further sales for The Maybourne Residences Saint-Germain, Paris, which, following the sales of the first phase Saint Dominique, will launch phase two with 16 residences on Rue de l’Université. The residences will officially open in 2027 in a historic landmark in the city’s 7th arrondissement.
Jumping into the branded residences expansion trend with groups such as Langham and Rosewood, Maybourne will announce additional residences later this year and into 2026 as new locations are confirmed.
