Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris, has announced the appointment of Julien Bardet as its new general manager.

Bardet began his career at Hôtel Martinez in Cannes before joining Le Méridien Nice, where he took on his first leadership roles in sales and marketing. Then, he moved to Asia as director of sales & marketing at The Laguna, Luxury Collection, followed by The St. Regis Bali. In 2015, he joined The St. Regis New York as hotel manager, before continuing his journey at The St. Regis Bal Harbour in Miami. Three years later, he was appointed general manager of The West Hollywood Edition.

In 2020, Bardet returned to Paris as general manager of Shangri-La Paris. Now, he arrives at a landmark moment for the hotel’s 115th anniversary.

“Joining Mandarin Oriental Lutetia is both an honour and a responsibility. My aim is to preserve its soul while embracing the future. I aspire to showcase its excellence on the international stage by highlighting the talent and dedication of our teams. They are, through their passion and expertise, the beating heart of the Palace. I look forward to working alongside them to write a new chapter in the story of this iconic destination,” said Bardet.
