Cendyn, a global integrated hotel technology and services company, facilitated significant commercial growth for Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka’s largest hotel chain, in its digital transformation strategy by upgrading its tech stack and improving the digital user experience.

With a diverse portfolio operating 17 properties across Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Cinnamon Hotels sought to improve the website experience with an immersive story-telling experience that brings to life each property’s unique offering. Within the first six months* the implementation of Cendyn Web achieved +71% growth in website active users and +5% increase in conversion rate.

Cinnamon Hotels required a solution to align the digital experience with evolving guest expectations, supporting multi-property operations, and driving measurable growth. Following a six-month RFP tendering process, Cinnamon Hotels selected Cendyn based on its customer-centric approach to serve travelers better and increase direct revenue. While design was imperative, Cendyn’s 24/7 security and technical support was essential for the property portfolio to successfully implement a modern infrastructure to complement the evolution of its brand.

Working with Cendyn’s integrated platform, Cinnamon Hotels has successfully been able to ensure solutions all work together. They have had the flexibility to increase the number of partners from five to over 13, all of which now revolve around the Cendyn CMS and website.
