Smart Distribution ‘boosts bookings and reduces commission costs’

Commercial platform for travel and hospitality, Lighthouse, is behind a new AI-powered feature that automatically optimises pricing and distribution across booking channels for independent hotels.

‘Smart Distribution’ tackles a reality most independent hotels face – distribution management too complex to do well manually. 

Lighthouse says that hotels either waste hours on it with limited success or skip it entirely. Both approaches lead to excessive OTA commissions and missed revenue.

The platform’s new feature automatically pushes public rates to all channels while AI analyses market conditions to recommend length-of-stay restrictions, channel closures, and rate offsets that maximize profit.

“Smart Distribution helps independent hotels take back control of their revenue”, said Vincent Goemaere, Sr. Vice President of Independent Hotels. 

“It replaces time-consuming manual updates and costly guesswork with AI-powered smart decisions, driving more direct bookings, reducing admin burden, improving revenue performance, and building a healthier, more profitable channel mix.”

The Lighthouse platform serves over 85,000 hospitality properties across 185 countries, helping independent hotels compete effectively through intelligent automation of pricing, distribution, and operations.
