It was great to be at Skift Global Forum last month in conversation with Dennis Schaal to discuss where Booking Holdings (NASDAQ: BKNG) has come from and where we’re headed. Generative AI is changing everything we know about how people plan and book their journeys. We work for two, you know, two. Sorry market. We got the traveler. But you gotta have the suppliers on the other side, the hotels, the car rentals, the flights, the attractions, every part of that. So using the connected trip is a way that all of the suppliers can find an easier way for them to get additional incremental business. And provide them with ways they can market their services in all their different things in an easier way to the right customer so it’s not wasted. God, nobody. I hate when we spend money on marketing that I know a whole bunch of people are not paying attention to it. I want to be able to do that one to one relationship just like it used to be when I was growing up. Only we’ll use. Technology so it would be much cheaper, much easier and better. Because the database does not forget like that travel agent person did. The whole technological things even knows so much more knows everything that’s going wrong around the world. I want it so you know, occasionally things have gotten a little bit better where you get the text that says oh your flight is going to be delayed and sometimes it even say would you like to it’s not enough, I want it so your flight is going to be delayed by 4 hours, however. Here’s a flight that we could take that two hours from now. So you’ll get there, but of course your car will be picked up late. So we will take care of that immediately on that. And oh by the way, you’re going to get there late. So your restaurant that you are going to have that meeting with that partner is obviously not possible. Under that time. We will change the reservation and if the reservation is not available, we will hear three other options. Just listen on which one all that stuff done on automatically, OK, because the end of the day it’s a very competitive. World, if we’re not providing a better service to the person, somebody else is gonna do it.
