Hospitality has always been about people, about care, connection, and creating meaningful experiences. Yet as our industry evolves at high speed, we’re confronted with challenges that demand not just resilience, but reimagination.

As we look ahead to EuroCHRIE 2025, which Hotelschool The Hague is proud to host, three themes stand out as the industry’s most pressing challenges: balancing travel growth with regenerative strategies, integrating digitalisation with human interaction and addressing global labour shortages. These are not just issues for tomorrow; they are pressing realities that we must address today.

Taking place in The Hague, the conference will welcome a total of nine inspiring keynote speakers, representing diverse perspectives from academia and industry. We highlight two keynotes:

Hans Meyer, Co-founder and Managing Director at Zoku and Marco van der Werf, Founder of Bit: “Where Hospitality Meets AI”

In a rapidly changing world, technology cannot replace the human touch, but the future requires a fusion of both. Hans Meyer and Marco van der Werf will explore how AI can transform the hospitality experience, and how hospitality business leaders can balance innovation with authenticity.

Prof. dr. Mark van Vugt, Professor, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam: “Hospitality Leadership Through Different Lenses”

As an organisational psychologist at VU Amsterdam, Prof. dr. Mark van Vugt will share his vision on leadership through the lens of evolution and biology, offering new perspectives on how to lead effectively in today’s complex hospitality environment.
